In a Dawn, Awakening

In a Dawn, Awakening

Rip the veil from unfettered eyes

Allow me witness of naked dawn

Stripped from dreams once tread upon

A tethered echo flits and dies

Semi-twilight, foggy hue

Are the dancing shadows real

Memories take their shape’s debut

And veins remember how to feel

Gossamer voices don’t belong

In light of day where mortals remain

Awake to life in stretching pain

And yearn for slumber’s fading song.
