A little about yourself your edication family life etc.

Am filipino-german,under-graduate. I travelled a lot and still do in Europe and Asia my homes and my favorite continents. I left the Philippines at a very early age ventured my luck in Karachi,Pakistan where i’ve worked and lived for 11 years!

Fiona: Tell us your latest news?

Am working as a humble saleslady specialized in selling Euro cheese and Wine! I have developed a fine taste of both great products and became a gourmet freak! I love outdoor activities namely bicycling,hiking and long walks!

Fiona: When did you begin writing?

It was a good friend of mine from Australia who inclined me to write simple poetry,from there i discovered my skills in writing!

You have woken the witch that lives deep inside me.

You have removed the slumber chains from the giant of old.

You have handed me a box of matches and no chaperone

And a world made of lies and polyester.


You have barked up the wrong bitch.

Proclaim it:

I have shucked off the good, southern lady’s cloak,

Of the homecoming court, the cheerleader,

The preacher’s daughter, hands gentled in her lap.

They tied it at my neck with a bow, a Gordian girl-knot,

When I was young and bossy and sure-footed

“For protection,” they said.

Whose protection? I wondered.


I have sent that shit out to the dry cleaners

I will not pick it up

They can sell it for a profit from a rack on the street.

From now on,

I’m exposing the raw pink edges of my true skin to the sun.

It is because the mind of a mental health nurse sees the world, reported by others, from a down to earth approach and also from a surreal sublime often bizarre experience,  that I’m thrilled with Jo Dowling’s poetry.
